Hi, I am Shanna Campbell.

I am many things in this world: photographer, mom, military spouse, daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend, artist, foodie, floral designer, and a very slow, but enthusiastic runner.

I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and though it will always have a piece of my heart, I absolutely love the south! I came here almost 9 years ago with my husband and I haven’t looked back since. 

I am trained in professional photography and learned my craft at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. There I earned a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Photography. Following college I settled in Santa Monica, CA where I was able to work as a Studio manager for a respected and talented, Advertising and Editorial photographer, Kevin Zacher. My experience with him over my 6 and a half year tenure, allowed me to become well versed in all things commercial. Because of my experience in this role, I was given the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and start my own portrait photography business 11 years ago. I feel very fortunate that my work is my passion, and besides my family, it is one of the greatest joys of my life. 

When you hire me you will find that I am easy to work with, and love children! I don’t just take portraits, I capture your family’s personality. It is not always about the perfect pose, but the perfect moment! I know not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera and my goal is to change anyone’s mind about that who works with me. I hope we can work together soon, so I may show you just how fun a portrait session can be!
